Where To Watch White Boy Rick

Set against the economic struggles and escalating drug crisis of 1980s Detroit, White Boy Rick follows Richard Wershe Jr., a teenager whose life changes after his father, Richard Wershe Sr., becomes involved in illegal firearms dealings. Rick attracts the attention of federal agents and is recruited to gather information about local drug dealers. What begins as an attempt to help his family gradually pulls him deeper into criminal activity, where money, influence and dangerous relationships blur the line between informant and offender. As Rick becomes increasingly involved with Detroit's criminal underworld, his family faces mounting pressure and his future grows uncertain. Featuring Richie Merritt as Rick Jr. and Matthew McConaughey as his father, the film presents a troubling portrait of a young person caught between family responsibility, law enforcement and the consequences of decisions made before adulthood.
