Where To Watch Rush

More details about Rush and where you can watch

The movie Rush is based on one of the most dramatic rivalries in Formula One history between James Hunt and Niki Lauda. Interestingly, the real Niki Lauda personally supported the film’s production and shared valuable insights about his experiences with director Ron Howard. Daniel Brühl worked extensively to recreate Lauda’s distinctive Austrian accent, expressions, and personality, making his performance remarkably convincing. Another fascinating detail is that James Hunt and Niki Lauda had completely different approaches to racing: Hunt was known for his fearless and adventurous attitude, while Lauda relied on discipline, technical knowledge, and careful preparation. The movie also recreates the terrifying 1976 Nürburgring accident, after which Lauda returned to racing just 42 days later. Its final championship sequence is equally remarkable because Hunt defeated Lauda by only one point. With realistic racing sequences, impressive performances, and Hans Zimmer’s powerful soundtrack, Rush brings an extraordinary chapter of motorsport history to the big screen.
