The story centers on John Lyshitski, a petty criminal obsessed with revenge against the judge responsible for putting him behind bars multiple times. When the judge dies before John can settle the score, he shifts his revenge to the judge’s naïve son, Nelson Biederman IV. John manipulates events so that Nelson is wrongfully imprisoned and then gets himself arrested to watch his suffering from the inside. But things don’t go according to plan. Instead of becoming miserable, Nelson unexpectedly adapts to prison life and even thrives in strange ways. Meanwhile, John’s revenge plot collapses as prison politics, bizarre inmates, and absurd situations take over. The film mixes crude humor with satire about the prison system, showing how revenge can backfire in the most ridiculous ways.
