In feudal Japan, Lord Daigo makes a dark pact with demons to secure prosperity for his land, offering his newborn son’s body parts in return. The child, Hyakkimaru, survives against all odds and grows up with prosthetic limbs and heightened senses. Years later, he embarks on a journey to slay the demons that stole his body, regaining a part of himself with every victory. Along the way, he meets Dororo, a clever and resilient orphan who becomes his companion. As Hyakkimaru grows more human, he must confront the moral consequences of his quest, especially as each demon’s death brings ruin closer to the land his father once tried to save.
