One of the most interesting things about ReAwakening is that it isn’t simply a new movie continuing the story. It was specifically designed as a cinematic catch-up experience: the first part revisits Season 1, while the latter portion gives audiences an early look at Season 2.
The film’s central concept comes from the Korean web novel/webtoon Solo Leveling, created around the work of Chugong, with the webtoon associated with artist DUBU (REDICE Studio). The anime adaptation is produced by A-1 Pictures.
Another unusual element is Jinwoo’s leveling mechanic. Unlike conventional fantasy protagonists who become stronger through years of training or inherited abilities, Jinwoo receives a game-like System that provides quests, experience and rewards. This turns his character progression into something resembling an RPG while still taking place in a modern supernatural world.

Genres Covered
Warm, uplifting stories filled with joy, comfort, and feel-good moments.
Root for the unlikely heroes who rise, fight, and win against the odds.
Cinematic journeys that explore life, existence, and the universe itself.
Solo Leveling plays with the structure of an RPG without actually being a video game story. Jinwoo’s mysterious System uses familiar game concepts such as quests, levels, rewards, stats and penalties, turning his survival into a progression system.
