Season 14 of King of the Hill (released August 4, 2025) serves as a revival of the long-running animated sitcom, picking up roughly eight years after the original series’ finale. Hank and Peggy Hill have spent years abroad and return to Arlen, where Hank retired from Strickland Propane must adjust to a changing world while reconnecting with friends and neighbors. Bobby is now a grown-up chef in Dallas, navigating life and relationships with old classmates. The season’s 10 episodes blend the show’s trademark slice-of-life comedy with modern themes, from technology to changing cultural norms. With much of the original cast returning and fresh storylines set in today’s world, the revival blends nostalgia and contemporary relevance.

Despite the show’s return after so many years, the most shocking aspect of this season is that two of the main voice actors Johnny Hrdwick (Dale Gribble) and Jonathan Joss (John Redcorn) recorded their characters’ lines for this season, but both passed away in real life before its release! Johnny Hardwick had already recorded some of his lines, and Jonathan Joss had also completed his recordings. This makes their performances in this season their final ones, which is incredibly poignant and surprising for fans.
