Despite being a fun, light-hearted teen sitcom, “Season 1” of Victorious actually premiered right after the 2010 Kids’ Choice Awards and that premiere got around 5.7 million viewers, making it the second-highest live-action Nickelodeon series premiere of that time (after iCarly). For a “kids/teen” sitcom, that initial rating was huge showing how big the expectations were, and how quickly it became a pop-culture sensation.
