Where To Watch Abigail

Abigail follows Joey (Melissa Barrera) and a group of criminals recruited for what appears to be a straightforward kidnapping: capture a wealthy underworld figure's daughter and hold her for a $50 million ransom. Their target, Abigail (Alisha Weir), is a talented young ballerina who seems frightened and helpless when they bring her to an isolated mansion. The situation changes dramatically when the kidnappers discover that Abigail is a deadly vampire. Trapped inside the mansion, the criminals must survive her supernatural strength, unpredictable behaviour and increasingly violent attacks. As the night unfolds, the group begins to fracture, secrets emerge, and Joey starts to question who the real monster is. Blending vampire mythology, suspense, bloody action and dark humour, the film transforms a familiar kidnapping story into a claustrophobic fight for survival.

More details about Abigail and where you can watch

Abigail gives a unique twist to traditional vampire horror by presenting a young ballerina as a terrifying supernatural creature. The film’s dance sequences are inspired by Tchaikovsky’s famous ballet Swan Lake, creating a memorable contrast between graceful movements and brutal horror.

The movie was directed by Radio Silence, the filmmaking duo behind Ready or Not and Scream (2022). It also features Angus Cloud from Euphoria in one of his final film appearances before his death in 2023.

Interestingly, Abigail is not based directly on Bram Stoker’s Dracula or any specific vampire novel. Instead, it combines traditional vampire folklore with a modern kidnapping thriller. Alisha Weir’s performance is another highlight, as she brilliantly balances the innocent appearance of a ballerina with the frightening personality of a powerful vampire.
