Where To Watch Serendipity (2001)

Serendipity follows Jonathan Trager (John Cusack) and Sara Thomas (Kate Beckinsale), two strangers who meet by chance while reaching for the same pair of gloves at Bloomingdale's in New York. Although both are already involved in relationships, an unexpected connection develops between them during one magical winter evening. Jonathan believes they should pursue their feelings, while Sara believes that true love should be guided by fate and destiny. She proposes a series of unusual tests to determine whether they are genuinely meant to be together. Years later, Jonathan and Sara are living separate lives and are engaged to other people—Jonathan to Halley Buchanan (Bridget Moynahan) and Sara to Lars Hammond (John Corbett). Yet neither can completely forget their extraordinary first meeting. With the help of their friends Dean Kansky (Jeremy Piven) and Eve (Molly Shannon), they begin trying to find one another again. The movie turns an ordinary chance encounter into a charming story about coincidence, destiny, missed opportunities and whether people can really trust fate.
