The film follows Sean Boswell (Lucas Black), a rebellious American teenager with a passion for street racing. After getting into serious trouble in the U.S., Sean is sent to Tokyo to live with his father. Feeling like an outsider, he soon discovers the city’s underground drift-racing scene, where skill and control matter more than raw speed. Sean befriends Twinkie and learns drifting from Han, a calm but mysterious racer connected to the Japanese underworld. As Sean rises through the ranks, he clashes with Takashi, the Drift King, whose Yakuza ties make the rivalry deadly. Loyalty, honor, and survival collide as Sean races for respect, identity, and redemption on Tokyo’s neon-lit streets.
