More details about Tales of the Walking Dead – Season 1 and where you can watch

Tales of the Walking Dead is unique within the franchise because its first season uses an anthology format, with six separate stories featuring different characters and locations. The series gives viewers new perspectives on the zombie apocalypse instead of focusing on the regular characters from The Walking Dead. One of the biggest surprises is Samantha Morton’s character Dee, who is revealed to be the younger version of Alpha, the notorious leader of the Whisperers. The season also features well-known actors such as Terry Crews, Olivia Munn, Parker Posey, Jillian Bell, Anthony Edwards, and Jessie T. Usher, bringing a different style and tone to each episode. Another interesting element is that some episodes move beyond traditional zombie horror, exploring themes of loneliness, survival, friendship, guilt, science, memory and psychological fear. The episode featuring Dr. Charles Everett takes an unusual scientific approach by examining walkers almost like an ecological phenomenon. Overall, the series expands the Walking Dead universe by showing that the apocalypse can produce very different experiences depending on who—and where—you are.
