Patriot Season 2 picks up with intelligence officer John Tavner trapped between his government responsibilities, his family and the increasingly dangerous consequences of his undercover identity, John Lakeman. After the events of Season 1, John faces a crucial decision involving Agathe Albans and a large amount of money. Instead of simply escaping his problems, he becomes even more deeply involved in the Tavner family's latest mission. His father, Tom Tavner, gives him an almost impossible assignment: travel to Paris and assassinate Cantar Walley, a powerful figure whose actions could threaten the intelligence operation. As John moves through Paris, his carefully constructed cover begins to collapse. His brother Edward is caught in danger, Alice becomes increasingly involved in protecting John, and Agathe continues pursuing the truth. Meanwhile, John's physical and emotional exhaustion makes even simple tasks increasingly unpredictable.
