Set in a brutal cyberpunk future filled with corruption, secret clans, and deadly technology, Ninja Kamui follows former ninja Joe Higan, a deadly assassin who escaped his violent clan to live peacefully in rural America with his wife Sara and son Kyle. His quiet life is shattered when masked ninjas attack his family in a horrifying act of revenge for betraying the ancient ninja code. Driven by rage and grief, Joe returns to his forgotten identity — Ninja Kamui — and launches a bloody war against the mysterious ninja organization connected to the powerful tech corporation AUZA. Along the way, FBI agents Mike Moriss and Emma Samanda uncover a conspiracy involving cybernetic soldiers, secret experiments, and political manipulation. Joe must battle his former friend Zai, confront the ruthless leader Yamaji, and survive futuristic ninja warfare that combines traditional martial arts with high-tech combat suits. The anime became popular for its incredibly fast-paced fight choreography, cinematic animation style, and dark emotional storytelling.
