Where To Watch Hereditary

After the death of the secretive family matriarch Ellen Leigh, Annie Graham and her family are forced to confront a disturbing legacy they barely understood. Annie, a miniature artist, begins uncovering unsettling clues about her mother's past, while her teenage children Peter and Charlie experience increasingly disturbing events. As grief, guilt, family tension and supernatural forces begin to overlap, the Grahams discover that their family's history may be connected to something far more sinister than they imagined. Toni Collette's Annie becomes the emotional center of the story as the family's attempt to understand its past gradually turns into a terrifying struggle against an inherited fate.

More details about Hereditary and where you can watch

One of the film’s most distinctive elements is Annie’s miniature-artwork hobby. Her carefully constructed miniature rooms repeatedly mirror events in the real Graham household, creating a visual connection between Annie’s art and the family’s increasingly disturbing reality. The movie also deliberately makes the Graham house feel like a miniature model, with carefully composed rooms, doorways and camera movements that make the audience feel as though they are looking inside a dollhouse.

Another unusual aspect is the film’s emphasis on grief, family trauma and inherited suffering before supernatural horror becomes fully apparent. Ari Aster uses domestic arguments, uncomfortable silences and seemingly ordinary family interactions to build tension instead of depending primarily on conventional jump scares. The film was Aster’s feature directorial debut.
