Did You Know
Despite launching one of horror’s most famous villains (Jason Voorhees), the character of Jason does not appear as the killer in the original film. The actual killer is his mother, Mrs. Pamela Voorhees. Jason only briefly appears in a final jump scare in the canoe, and the franchise’s iconic hockey-masked killer persona wasn’t introduced until Part III (1982). This twist surprises even many longtime fans.
