After the ALZ-113 virus wipes out most of humanity, survivors attempt to restore power in San Francisco, bringing them into contact with Caesar and his ape colony. Initially, Caesar seeks peace and cooperation, but betrayal and fear on both sides lead to escalating violence. A rival ape named Koba, driven by hatred toward humans due to past abuse, stages a coup and frames humans for an attack. War erupts between humans and apes, tearing apart the fragile balance Caesar worked to maintain. The film explores leadership, morality, survival, and the cost of revenge. Its tragic ending sets the stage for an inevitable full-scale conflict between species.
