Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Season 2 is actually a prequel. The story happens during Flint and Sam’s high-school years, before the giant food-raining events of the 2009 movie.

One fun feature of Season 2 is how many episodes turn ordinary teenage problems into ridiculous scientific disasters. Flint’s inventions create situations involving memory loss, invisibility, imaginary friends, fish transformations, unusual elements and superhero-style identities.
