Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 takes the story in a darker and more emotionally intense direction, revealing the history behind Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto's relationship before they became two figures standing on opposite sides of the jujutsu world. The first part, Hidden Inventory / Premature Death, travels back to 2006 and follows teenage Gojo and Geto during their years at Tokyo Jujutsu High. The two are assigned to protect Riko Amanai, the Star Plasma Vessel destined to merge with Master Tengen. Their mission also brings them into conflict with Toji Fushiguro, a powerful assassin whose actions have a lasting impact on Gojo, Geto and the wider jujutsu world. The story then returns to the present with the Shibuya Incident. On Halloween night, a mysterious curtain traps civilians around Shibuya Station while cursed spirits and curse users launch a carefully planned attack. Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Kento Nanami, Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, Panda and other sorcerers are pulled into a massive battle involving Mahito, Jogo, Choso, Kenjaku and Ryomen Sukuna.
