One of the biggest reasons Life-Size remains memorable is the unusual pairing of Lindsay Lohan and Tyra Banks. Lohan was still a child star at the time, while Banks was already a major fashion model. The film essentially turns the world of a glamorous fashion doll into a fish-out-of-water comedy, with Eve having to discover everything from ordinary social interactions to the rules of being human.
The movie also became more culturally significant after its original television run. Although its initial reviews were mixed, Life-Size developed a cult following, particularly around Tyra Banks’ energetic performance as Eve. Rotten Tomatoes currently lists only three critic reviews, while its audience page contains more than 25,000 ratings.
