More details about Freakier Friday (2025) and where you can watch

Freakier Friday reunites Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan more than 20 years after the 2003 classic. Unlike the original mother-daughter body swap, the sequel involves four characters across three generations, creating even more comedic chaos. The story is based on the long-running Freaky Friday concept, which originated from Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel. Lindsay Lohan’s character Anna is now a mother herself, creating a fun reversal of the original story. Chad Michael Murray and Mark Harmon also return, adding extra nostalgia for fans. Interestingly, Jamie Lee Curtis was a major driving force behind bringing the sequel to life.

Did You Know

Freakier Friday is not based on an entirely new Disney concept. Its roots go all the way back to Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel Freaky Friday. Disney first adapted the book into a movie in 1976, then remade it in 2003 with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan.
